Wtf is fladmin?

Fladmin, you heard of it? Flatting admin. A crisis among students across the country. Students often have no car, zero access to a trailer and it costs an arm and a leg to store anything over the summer months. Our goal is to remove Fladmin for good. The FlatPack, delivering beds to your door step right when you want em.

Are there refunds?

Yes of course! We have a ‘no questions asked’ refund policy which you can learn more about here. Simply get in touch with our team if you require a refund.

How do I get refunded?

What’s the difference between each bed?

Each of our bed options include the same base, the difference between each bed simply being the mattress. The FlatPack bed is our low end option where bonnell springs are used. The other two beds are created using pocket springs. Another big difference between each option is the quality and amount of foam used on top of the springs along with the exterior finish.

What’s the difference between bonnell and pocket springs?

Bonnell springs are the traditional option when it comes to springs in your mattress. They’re reasonably easy to manufacture meaning there is a real price difference in comparison to pocket springs. On that note; pocket springs were designed so that you didn’t wake you partner up in the night when you were moving around. Pocket springs work as individuals whilst bonnell springs work collectively when it comes to support.

Can I order before organising a flat?

Yes, of course you can. This is the reason our system allows delivery information to be added or updated months and months after purchasing with us. We love it when students are organised and have built our system around the fact that many students won’t sign flats until later in the year or early next year.

How does delivery work?

Every purchase made at The FlatPack includes delivery!

Upon purchasing anything at The FlatPack, you’ll simply be asked for contact details and payment. Later in the year, we will send an email that will allow you to add an address, delivery date and time. You can continue to update this information throughout Jan/Feb. How are your products so cheap?

A question we often get asked. Since we are a small online student run business, we don’t have massive overhead costs which many other furniture retailers do. Simple things like large staff salaries, retail spaces and electricity. We also understand that we are selling to students who really don’t have much money, our margins are minimal to ensure we are providing furniture as affordable for students as it can be. The company was founded to ensure financially struggling students like yourself make it through. We are here for the good of the country.

What is the quality like?

Another question which we are often asked. Both co-founders have spent a year on The FlatPack Bed and The Golden Child sleeping like a baby. Even though the beds are very affordable, we haven’t compromised on quality. Don’t believe us; head to customer reviews and check out what customers have said about their beds which were delivered earlier this year. We don’t have any reviews on our other available products as they weren’t available to order this past year. We do ensure that these will be an affordable product that doesn’t compromise on quality and is easy to build.

When do I have to provide delivery information?

We like to make it as easy as we can for our customers. Upon checkout, you’ll be asked for a billing address. NOTE: this is not the delivery address. We will send out an email at the end of the year to every customer where you will be able to log in and update a delivery address and date. This info can be added/updated once you know for sure where you’ll be living and what day you’ll be moving in. Flick us a message if you have any further questions regarding this!

When can I have my bed delivered?

Your bed can be delivered on any date between January 4th - March 1st 2021. The majority of students moving into flats will do so in this time period.

Can I have my bed delivered in 2020?

You aren’t able to schedule delivery on our site for 2020 but if you happen to be in this situation, please get in contact with us and we may be able to help you out!

Where can I see/try the bed before I purchase one?

As we sell online, we don’t have a physical store where customers can come to see or try out the bed before purchasing (one way which we have saved on expensive overhead expenses). We will have display days throughout the year where customers can come and see the beds and other furniture on display. We encourage you guys to keep an eye out for these days!

Does The FlatPack have sales?

No we don’t have sales. This means that once price increases happen, goods will no longer be available to the once lower price.

What tools will I need?

You won’t require any tools at all! Everything required will be provided by us, we pride ourselves on ease of use, so ensure that everything sold here at The FlatPack is easy enough to build for our customers.
